I
remember when I first became interested in Papillons, we were watching
the Westminster Dog Show and there was a wonderfully animated Papillon
in the running for best in show. This little fellow just amazed
me with his striking attitude and unmistakable joy and yes he did
win and was the first Papillon in history to win Best in Show at
Westminster. Several years went by and I did not get a Papillon.
Then one day I was visiting good friends of mine Lawrence
Anonychuk and Karen
Shiels, they had new house companions two very cute Papillons
Ch.
Ken Mar II Run for the Roses and Ken
Mar II Bunzel Electra my amazement of these little dogs was
renewed. About two years or so went by, then one day when I was
speaking to Karen on the phone she mentioned little June and I jokingly
suggested that she send her to me and I would show and train her
for the obedience and conformation rings. Karen called me back about
a half hour later and said yes they thought it would be a good idea.
So off I went the next weekend to Lawrence's daughter's Darci,
who is also a good friend and picked up little June. I guess the
rest of the story will unfold as time goes on.
"He is your friend,
your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his
love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the
last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such
devotion."
